AIM has undertaken three unique initiatives; one is engaged in providing marketing linkage to artisans for handicraft items, another is engaged in the publication of various craft related events and works, the third initiative directly works for the welfare and development programs for the artisans.
 
 
The marketing outfit for the artisans
 
KARIGAR LINE is a place with an exclusive collection of handicrafts and handloom products; sourced directly from the rural artisans. This initiative provides an alternative means of livelihood and income for rural artisans of India.

The path of publication on indigenous art and culture
 
ROOTS is the publication wing of AIM, helping in documentation and research of folk culture, traditional arts and crafts which are on the brink of extinction.

AIM’s skill development initiative for artisans
 
MORAM is a promotional set-up for Handicrafts, rural Artisans & Folk Performers of Bengal. It is a beautifully landscaped area with a Craft Center, Handicraft Training Institute & Common Facility Center, Center for Folk & Tribal Performing Arts, Library, Craft Shop, Eco-Friendly Cottages, Organic Farming and many more features. In this facility , ‘AIM’ is working with more than 5000 artisans under AHVY Scheme, Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India and Livelihood Training For The Artisans in association with Backward Classes Welfare Department, Tribal Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
